Addamark
Robert X Cringely has a good little article introducing Addamark, and the set of circumstances that led to its creation. The short version: Addamark is badass log file storage and analysis software. Think 100 terabyte log files (”events” in CEO-speak) that you can search in minutes, if not seconds. This is an area where the traditional RDBMS systems fail horribly, yet pent up demand is huge. Robert X is right - remember the name Addamark.
