Solaris Express download?

For the life of me, I can’t figure out how I download the 08/04 version of Solaris Express. No matter which path I take to the Sparc or x86 download pages, I end up at a page that gives me instructions on how to download CD images. A quick browse through the page and I couldn’t find a link to start the actual download. I noticed they were recommending the Sun Download Manager. I thought, hmm, maybe I have to use that? So I downloaded it and was treated with a nice little DOS window that launches an ugly, useless little Java app that expects me to paste a URL to a file into it to start a download. I was expecting something that let me browse through available Sun downloads and pick out what I wanted. I guess not.

So I went back and thought I must have missed a link somewhere to hop off and start the download. Nope. Back at the download instruction pages again and I actually read every instruction in detail. Item 4 says I should “Please Login”. Where? Back through the Solaris Express links again looking for this Login option. Nothing. So I login to the Download Centre and look for it there. Again, nothing. I just can’t find it.

Frustrating. I was hoping to start experimenting with the resource control stuff, and in particular how the zone-wide resource control stuff worked. Maybe it’s just a sign that I need to go for lunch.
