Well, XFX seems to be first to market with a shipping NVidia 6600 GT-based AGP video card. The good news is that they’re using the same 1000MHz DDR3 memory as the native PCI-express version, and they’ve stuck with two DVI connectors. The bad news is that it’s commanding a US$45 premium over it’s PCI-e brother at the moment.
Newegg.com is selling it for $225 and shipping now, NCIX.com is taking pre-orders for CAN$310 and expecting to ship on the 24th. Let the battle for the lucrative mid-range upgrade market begin!
