Well ... I looked at your website and saw what you do. Given the nature of your site, I highly recommend Dirk Eddelbuettel's Debian-based Quantian distro. It's a LiveDVD, but you can install it to a hard drive if you wish and update/upgrade it from the Debian mirrors. Quantian is based on clusterKnoppix -- it does clusters, parallel virtual machines, etc. "right out of the box"!

The only reason I can see for using an RHEL or RHEL clone for your application would be if you needed the high-security stuff. In any event, try Quantian

Another possibility would be my favorite distro, Gentoo. You build it from source, and most, but not all, of the packages on Quantian are available in the Gentoo mirrors. Security is not generally a problem, and updates are automatic and free. You do have to tailor it to your needs, though. If you want to go the Gentoo route, please feel free to e-mail me with questions -- I'd be happy to point you in the right directions.

Not to get into a distro war, but I installed and fell in love with Xandros. It's been getting great reviews too. Check out my blog for a quick overview and some links.
