Glad you're liking the FAS3050 Matt. I'll have our first two 3050s going into service over the next month so I'm curious to see how they hold up compared to the FAS960.

The 6000 hardware should rock. 10Gbit/sec links here we go! I can't wait! :)

Nice Job. We push our FAS960's pretty hard also, (got arond 8 of them), also the FAS3050's are pretty good they break the 100k ops and you can load them up further. I can't wait to test the new 6000 hardware, suppose to get close to that 1Gb/s mark.

Sorry rajeev, I missed your comment somehow...

This wasn't a test benchmark, it was simply another day in the life of this filer. I.e. this is a deployed filer out in the cold, harsh, real world. :)

CPU was at 100% and as I said the filer was pushing about 300MB/sec out to the cluster. There was about 100 nodes involved. Nearly all reads, less than 1% writes during the onslaught.

Is that by chance or can you repeat the performance ? It would be helpful if you
can post more details (if it were repeatable). What was the cpu/network like ?

I linked your post here

And yes, I was in fact standing in front of the filer chanting "go girl! just a little further! come on! you can do it!". ;)
