Kill Monty is a new game from Freeverse. In Freeverse’s own words:

$12.95 buys you at least a dozen hours of fun, if my experience with it is any indication.. Perhaps a lot more. It’s simple: There’s a room. Enemies flood in. You shoot them. Perfect. 
April 10th, 2005Kill Monty is so much fun! I bought Kill Monty and Doom 3 on the same weekend. I’ve barely played Doom since I keep playing Kill Monty. I’ve probably logged about 20 hours with the game. Clearly Kill Monty is the technically superior game, since in Doom you are confronted with two or three enemies at a time, while on Kill Monty you get to fight two or three hundred enemies at a time.
July 14th, 2005Kill Monty owns! Things get so out of control it leaves me laughing sometimes. I find my fav weapon is the railgun at full power! Ownage!
September 3rd, 2007This game is a ton of fun. It’s perfect when you just have 5 or 10 minutes to tool around and kill stuff. I just got to the excessive difficulty, which is now my official favorite — all the weapons start out at maximum difficulty, so some of the weapons whose chief drawback is the gradual increase in power (machine gun) are now completely awesome. Then again, the max-power-to-begin-with weapons (flamethrower) are always awesome. Wikipedia tells how to unlock the various characters and levels.
