		<description>Wow, ldapsh is really cool! So much easier to work with for directory exploration than ldapsearch! I haven't had the nerve to make an edit with vi yet, however... :)

		<description>Have to agree with you re: softerra; it's great if your're stuck in Windowsland.  However, if you're still a command line junkie like me, have a look at ldapsh: http://ldapsh.sourceforge.net/

Being able to walk an ldap tree like a filesystem, use all your familiar utilities (vi uid=pde is just too damn cool) and the like makes dealing with a directory a breeze.
