Boxing Day, oh my..

For the first time ever Amelie and I participated in the extravaganza known as Boxing Day. It was totally crazy out there and we now know first hand why we usually don’t do this. But I have to admit there were fantastic deals to be had! We got a new range (that we’ve been putting off buying for 6 months) for a good price. We picked up some clothes for Charlie at 50% off. Amelie secured a few blouses at a rediculous discount. And I did my electronic shopping from the comfort of home (i.e. online), the highlight being an extra GB of RAM for the PowerMac to “spread out” and a new 20-inch widescreen LCD:

Dude, I got a Dell! I would have prefered the Apple Cinema Display, but it’s going for $1000 and I got the Dell 2005FPW with the EXACT same panel for half that. $500. I’ve never seen it for less than that, so I’m pleased.

Next year Charlie will be old enough to understand gifts. That ought to be interesting! In the mean time, Amelie’s scarf is without a doubt his favourite item to show up under the Christmas tree.
