Blogging from TextMate

Ok, now this is cool. I’m blogging this directly from TextMate, my favorite text editor. Get the scoop on the TM Blog.

Looks like the underlying bundle is written in ruby.

The TextMate screencasts can be subscribed to through iTunes, which works really nicely:

The bit that impressed me was the image uploading functionality when they drag-n-dropped an image onto TextMate. TextMate Bundles development is really well done, extending TextMate to do stuff like blogging is surprisingly easy.

The Blogging Bundle is written in Ruby, the svn repository is here:

With the Ruby code living in /Support/lib/.

The bundle even takes advantage of the command-line interface for Keychain:
