MapReduce for Ruby: Holy Shit! Run for your lives!

MapReduce for Ruby: Ridiculously Easy Distributed Programming. Well. This changes everything. Sure, you could argue that there’s not really a reduce step here, but boy howdy it’s a great looking first step to bring this style of distributed programming to the masses.

In my mind distributed processing is where ALL of the action is going to be in the next decade, so I’ll be following this project very, very carefully. I’ll give it a whirl across a few hundred processors next week.
