Announcing Chloé Mayo
Well, it doesn’t get any better than this:
Chloé arrived healthy and hungry, Maman was insanely awesome, as usual, and we’re all still high on the joy.
Yes, I’m a proud papa:
With a short labour and an early evening birth, we’re actually *not* sleep deprived (yet) and feeling relatively rested! It’s so different, having a second child.. the whole process was a million times less stressful. I hesitate to say it was “easy” compared to Charlie, our little boy, since I wasn’t the one doing the pushing, but man the whole thing just went so smooth it makes me feel more thankful than I ever have been in my entire life. Two little ones, both healthy. Just amazing.
Charlie is being sweet with her so far, and only showing a little irritation with Maman, which is just fine. I’d be pretty pissed, too, if I was no longer the target of 100% of Mom’s love and affection. The noise level for Chloé compared to Charlie when he was an infant is rediculous. We were practically afraid to breath when Charlie was sleeping. With Charlie now 2 years old, there’s the equivalent of a freight train constantly passing through our living room! Yet Chloé just sleeps away, oblivious to her brother’s racket.
So my blogging may be even less frequent in the coming weeks and months, although I remember spending many late nights “on duty” with Charlie so who knows, perhaps I’ll actually have more time to write!
