Well, it looks like the updated XServe RAID is out. Key text:
Xserve RAID offers up to 10.5TB of high-performance storage at under $1.31 per gigabyte
The Apple Store is (as of 2PM) not listing this new config. I’m curious to see if this is simply a move to 750GB drives, or if it’s got the new FC-on-the-fan-card arrangement with all that that might imply.

If I’m not mistaken, I believe the increased capacity is due to the 750GB drives. See this MacDevCenter article for more information:

It is weird that LUN masking is getting pulled from the feature set.
Can OSX boot from non zero LUNs? I know many OSes can only boot from LUN0, so you need to use LUN masking to present a different LUN0 to each host.
But if OSX does not care, I guess zoning is easier, and probably a little bit faster.
